Pipeline brass safety grab bar

When it comes to brass bathroom hardware, we offer different sizes to fit different needs. One-size-fits-all doesn't work for safety grab bars and towel bars. So we offer four different sizes for each.

Strong and Stylish Grab Bars

We've written about why every bathroom needs safety grab bars. We designed ours to complement hardware already in your shower or tub, with unique styles that meet U.S. safety standards.

Honestly, our favorite one is from our Pipeline Collection, a Steampunk-inspired design made from cast iron elbows and tees, as well as brass parts. Click on any image to visit the product page where you can preview different finishes.

Like all our  grab bars, this one comes in 16", 24," 32", and 36" sizes.  Pipeline products are currently available in seven other finishes.

If your taste is more Westmount, may we suggest this handsome piece from our Dottingham Collection

Brass grab bar with reeded grip antique pewter finish

Finish: Antique Pewter

All kidding aside, we do love the way the Antique Pewter finish shows off every detail in the collection, one of our largest. Visit the product page to preview 18 other standard finishes.

This particular grab bar features a reeded grip, an option some customers prefer. It's also available with a smooth - but not slippery - grip

Be sure to take a look at all our grab bars to read specs and preview different finishes and features.

What Size Grab Bar Should I Buy?

We recommend sizing a grab bar for the specific need.

Most people install grab bars in bathrooms, to assist with using a commode, safely get in and out of a tub, and to remain steady in a shower.

Twenty-four inches is the standard for tubs and showers along the long wall and next to a toilet.

Use a shorter size to fit under a shower head if space is limited there.

We offer additional sizes for larger showering and bathing spaces.

Here's a quick read and helpful video about installing grab bars from Arizona's Rosie Romer, locally famous for his homeowners' DIY Rosie on the House radio show. (We actually learned about Rosie from a Canadian friend who snowbirds here.)

We also liked this grab bar pre-installation guide from EquipMeOT, a site run by an occupational therapist.

Do not, ever, use a towel bar for a grab bar. They may look alike but towel bars aren't manufactured to hold a 250-pound load!

Towel Bars in Sizes You Need

It's not surprising that towel bars are our second-largest sellers. In addition to designing and manufacturing a huge range of styles in tough, durable brass, we offer more size options than our competitors, in 18," 24," 30," and 36."

This Mambo Collection towel bar is a top seller in three of these sizes.

Towel bars are part of every collection we have. Many offer matching single and double towel bars like these two from our Soho Collection

Note the unusual design here: the bar itself floats underneath the support tube. This is echoed in the double bar version below.

Of course, you can mix and match different lengths and finishes.

Huge Collection of Towel Bar Styles

Right now, we have more than 160 towel bars to browse, in styles that cover a range of tastes. This blocky, modern towel bar comes from the Montero Collection:

Towel bars are also prominent in our casual acrylic and brass combination towel bars like this double bar from the Pacific Grove Collection:

Finish: Antique Brass

Note the dotted ring details. This collection, plus its sister collection Pacific Beach and Clearview, offer three more details: twisted, smooth, and grooved.

Don't feel boxed in with limited choices. Allied Brass decorative hardware offers more standard finishes, designer styles, and size options than our competitors.

Plus, we don't charge for shipping anywhere in Canada!
